Dr. Vincent completed his undergraduate degree in biology at the University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee. He then completed his Doctor of Medicine, with honors, at Louisiana State University, where he was inducted into AOA Honor Society. Dr. Vincent went on to complete a one year internship, in general surgery, at the University of Virginia and a neurosurgical residency at the University of Virginia. During his residency, he spent a year as a specialist registrar at Derriford Hospital in Plymouth England. Following completion of his residency, Dr. Vincent completed his spine fellowship at the University of Alabama, Birmingham.
Dr. Vincent specializes in the treatment of spinal disorders; including degenerative disease, tumors, fractures, and deformity. He has a strong focus on minimally invasive techniques for the treatment of these disorders, with key emphasis on motion preservation and non-fusion procedures.
He has been and continues to be very active in the field of minimally invasive spine surgery. He has given presentations and taught courses across the US on all aspects of minimally invasive surgery, including XLIF and minimally invasive TLIF. He is actively involved in clinical trials and product design.
Dr. Vincent is a board certified, fellowship trained neurosurgeon in private practice in Norfolk Virginia. He is a member of the CNS, AANS, SOLAS, and ISASS (formerly SAS).
